The Yunnan Provincial Commission of Industry and Information Technology recently announced that Yunnan will promote 100 energy-saving demonstration projects this year and allocate 90 million yuan to support project construction; At the same time, we will increase strategic cooperation between government and enterprises, especially by leveraging the role of the power grid as a link for energy conservation, to promote progress in our work.
The 100 energy-saving demonstration projects promoted this year include engineering types such as waste heat and pressure utilization, energy-saving of motor systems, and optimization of energy systems. After completion and operation, it is expected to save 2.11 million tons of standard coal annually, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 5.2 million tons, and reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by 34000 tons.
The Yunnan Provincial Commission of Industry and Information Technology stated that in order to accelerate the construction of 100 energy-saving demonstration projects, the provincial government will further increase investment in energy-saving special funds this year, allocating 90 million yuan to support project construction. At the same time, it will actively promote the contract energy management (EPC) model, strengthen the coordination and cooperation between banks, governments, and enterprises, play the role of green credit, expand funding channels, innovate financing methods, and attract more and more social funds to invest in energy-saving projects.
It is worth noting that in order to play the role of energy-saving links in power grid enterprises, the Yunnan Provincial Commission of Industry and Information Technology and Yunnan Power Grid Company have formulated relevant "energy-saving and emission reduction action plans". In 2013 alone, Yunnan Power Grid Company invested 3 million yuan to conduct free energy-saving diagnosis for 150 enterprises in 16 states (cities) across the province, effectively promoting and facilitating social energy conservation.
